UM, about your creator…..

My name is Joella, and I am the founder and creative director of Username Marketing.

I am a first-generation college graduate who takes pride in my mixed roots. My passion for art and cultural values influences a deeper craving for purpose that translates into my creative work.

I feel part of my mission is to help others discover their “Why?” This goes beyond the surface, a brand's creative vision; it involves introspection and deeper analysis of one’s values and brand. It is the discovery of the missing seed in need of watering to grow its roots in creative routes.

In academia, I obtained a bachelor’s in international business, a minor in finance, and a degree in psychology. I believe psychology and marketing are intertwined; the need to understand why we do the things we do may result in a better understanding of how to position your brand in the market. By implementing a creative and behavioral analytical approach to marketing and branding, your brand is bound to stand out.

Why me?

It seems in the creative market, it has become popular for many social media managers or digital creators to favor the concept of approaching every brand in a generalized manner, rather than taking the time to understand every brand’s unique mission. The lack of research and interest in understanding a brand’s unique values may often result in generalized marketing materials that lack authenticity and personable creative direction, and by extension, cause a misalignment of the client’s creative vision.

Adventure runs in my veins! I’m a proud FUR parent who loves sunset hikes with my Siberian husky, Zena, and quality time with my Siamese boys, Zimba and Gohan. When I’m not exploring on land, you’ll find me kayaking, jet skiing, or doing what I love most—horseback riding.
